Events & Marketing Manager

We are looking for a bright, proactive person who works well under their own initiative to head up a diverse and challenging role based in our Hackney office.
Responsible for all aspects of events, marketing & press across five busy bar/venues in North & East London, the ideal candidate will play a key role in this expanding company and bring new ideas to the table with the ability to develop and implement them.
Duties include:
Updating and monitoring social media: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
Writing copy and press releases
Creating weekly & monthly e-newsletters
Manage customer queries
Diary and calendar management
Booking events, contacting new promoters and acts, maintaining good working relationships with existing successful ones
Identifying and actioning marketing opportunities and areas for business growth, including advertising opportunities
Updating and maintaining customer database
Updating company blog
Updating and creating timely/ appropriate playlists
Design and print in-house promo materials, seasonal menus & listings
Apply for license extensions (TENS) and complete event risk assessments
Maintenance of DJ equipment
Coordinate art exhibition schedule across five sites
Overseeing delivery of branded projects: liaising and sourcing photographers/ designers/ web developers/ outside promoters for completion on schedule.
 Essential
Experience in press/ marketing/ events management
Organized and professional manner
Ability to manage projects to deadline and on budget
Excellent written & verbal skills; experience writing clear and engaging copy online and in print
Creative with excellent problem solving, attention to detail and ability to see the bigger picture
Mac/ Photoshop/ WordPress/ basic HTML/ Word & Xcel literate
Basic knowledge of setting up sound equipment (including DJ equipment)
 Desirable
An interest in pizza & craft beer!
Salary dependent on experience.
